  • Besides the Network’ website - are there application sessions as well?
The Network conducts explanation sessions on a regular basis. If there are four or more potential candidates in one organisation – the Network can undertake the two hour application explanation at your offices. Email info@cmpnetworksa.co.za for the next upcoming dates or on-site request details.

  • What is meant by clock hour credits?
The majority of candidates are in senior management positions and although their experience and knowledge is unquestionable – ongoing information gathering and up-skilling of one’s own knowledge on a regular basis is quite another matter. In many instances this is not entirely surprising – especially in South Africa where the individual meetings manager is so confined to undertaking tasks that updating one’s knowledge as a matter of standard procedure is sadly lacking. Locating appropriate talks, sessions, workshops and the like which will actually update one’s knowledge with authentic certification do not appear to be readily available. Clock hour credits allow candidates in particular the opportunity to gain or make up the required minimum 25 clock hours in order to apply for acceptance as a CMP candidate.

  • Why should the application form be completed taking account of the CMP handbook?
Accepted CMP candidates are bound by the rules and regulations as contained within the CMP
Candidates Handbook. Hence it is essential that the contents of the Candidate Handbook are fully understood as candidates are bound by the rules when submitting their application form together with proof of clock hours.

  • Can I apply for application acceptance at any time?
The earlier the application is submitted the better for all parties concerned. In fact the Network is encouraging candidates to complete the application form on this website and submit as soon as possible.

  • What are the benefits of attaining the CMP status via the Network?
With eight exams having taken place in South Africa – the Network has built up sufficient experience
in order to provide ongoing assistance to candidates. Accepted candidates are busy meetings management individuals with erratic and crowded work schedules. The benefits via the Network with the various clock hour credits, blueprint sessions and final exam cram ensures a disciplined approach towards CMP attainment.

Of course there are the presumed exceptions - as there is no method of assessing how many hours a
candidate may privately spend studying the manuals plus doing and re-doing online Q&As. The vast majority of graduates prove conclusively the best methods for higher message retention are what has been developed by the Network. The Network also ensures swift communications to queries and basically keeps candidates on track with effective co-ordination. See the CMP Consolidated Evaluation form.

Remember: Your accepted application is valid for a period of two years.
